Anyone who has ever lived in New York City or knows of someone who has lived there knows how expensive it is. That said, the Big Apple is known for its teeny-tiny apartments and sky-high rest prices.

TikToker AJ Webber says he lives in the smallest apartment in New York City, and he’s poking fun at the notion. In a new TikTok video, he gives viewers a tour of his tiny home. The clip must have hit a chord, because it’s gone viral, now at more than 22 million views.

“Here’s what it’s like living in the smallest apartment in New York,” he says in the introduction of the video. “Whatever your expectations are, lower them.”

As he opens the front door, the first thing viewers see is a sink. From there, you can spot a tiny kitchen and pantry. “As soon as you walk in the door, you have the sink,” Webber says, narrating. “Right next to the sink is, conveniently located, the kitchen.”

“The pantry is absolutely stocked,” he adds, joking. Viewers can see staples like mac and cheese and popcorn in the pantry. “I just realized that all those foods are carbohydrates and also come in a box. There is no nutritional value here.”

From there, viewers see two beds squished into his apartment. “Some nights, I’m a queen guy, other nights I chill on the twin,” he says. There’s also a piano that somehow fits in the apartment. Christmas lights hang in the bathroom, which is a nice touch.

Viewers took to the comments section of the video to give their two cents on the apartment, one stating, “I lowered my expectations and still, they were too high.” Anther explains, “My dorm room is bigger than that.” Watch the full video below via TikTok.
