Restaurants Open on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s

If you’re staying in for the holidays, why not give yourself a break and let someone else do the cooking? A handful of restaurant chains are remaining open on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s, offering the chance to eat a festive meal without all the work.

Christmas Day, obviously, is the holiday with the fewest restaurants open. But, some will still open their doors. Read on for a list of nationwide chains that will be open during the Christmas season. Remember that hours may vary by location, so call your local establishment to get their specific schedule.

Restaurants Open on Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s

Boston Market

Boston Market specializes in the kind of traditional dinner food that’s popular around the holidays, such as chicken and masked potatoes. According to the chain, a limited number of restaurants will be open on Christmas Day, with hours different for each restaurant. Boston Market will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Most Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will be open on Christmas Eve, but close early, according to a statement. A handful of location will be open on Christmas Day, to boot. The chain will be open on New Year’s Day.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen will be closed on Christmas Day, but they’ll be open on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. Call head to get holiday hours.

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel location will be open until 2 p.m. on Christmas Even and then close until Dec. 26. They’ll have regular business hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Domino’s

Some Domino’s locations will be open on Christmas for pizza delivery, but not all, so call ahead. The pizza chain will be open on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, with holiday hours varying per store. Domino’s will have normal operating hours on Jan. 1.

Dunkin’

Dunkin’ will be open to give you that java fix on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. They suggest calling your local location, though, to make sure they don’t have a special schedule.

IHOP

IHOP is one of your safest bests for dining on Christmas Day. According to the chain, restaurants will be open for the holidays. Hours will vary by location.

Longhorn Steakhouse

Those looking for their stead fix will find it at Longhorn Steakhouse, which will stay open Christmas Eve until 8 p.m. They’re closed on Christmas but open for regular hours on New Year’s Day.

Olive Garden

Olive Garden, much like Longhorn, will be open on Christmas Eve until 8 p.m. The’lll be closed on Dec. 25 and open for regular hours on New Year’s Day.

Perkin’s Restaurant & Bakery

If you live by a corporate location, Perkin’s will be open on Dec. 24 from 6 a.m. – 4 p.m., Dec. 25 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Dec. 31 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and for normal hours on New Year’s Day. Call ahead to confirm, as franchise locations are different.

Waffle House

While Waffle House is known for being open every day of the year, and the holiday season is no exception. That said, the chain suggests contacting your local location, since some spots aren’t operating around the clock due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
