Walmart is trying to attract more truck drivers by offering them as much as $110,000 during their first year of work, according to a statement from the retail giant.

In the statement, the company stated that that drivers who already work for Walmart are also able to “earn even more, based on factors like tenure and location.” The starting range for truckers would begin at $95,000, which is up from what the average Walmart driver makes at $87,500. This is higher than the national average, as Walmart added, “the average salary for a long haul driver is $56,491 a year.”

Walmart also has a new private fleet develop program, which will have “established drivers” mentor new drivers for 12 weeks.

Walmart is also footing the bill for supply chain associates in Dallas, Texas and Dover, Delaware to get their commercial driver’s license and become truck drivers for the company.
