DETROIT, Mich. – The Detroit Tigers have big plans for Opening Day at Comerica Park, including homegrown rocker Jack White performing the National Anthem.

Gates will open for Opening Day at 10:30 a.m. The first 10,000 fans will score a 2022 magnet schedule. Fans 21 and over will also be able to score deals during Miller Light Home Run Happy Hour on the Pepsi Porch, which will have $5 concessions, such as beers, hot dogs and Pepsi products.

The Detroit Tigers will introduce the Tigers players, coaches and other staff around 12:40 p.m. The game will start at 1:10 p.m., as the Tigers go up against the White Sox.

The Tigers will honor the late Kimera Bartee, the team’s 2021 first-base coach. His son, Amari, will throw out the first pitch. The team will also honor the Taylor North Little League team, which won the Little League World Series.

White will perform the National Anthem, and to make the event even more special, a flyover from four A-10 Thunderbolt “Warthog” aircrafts from the 107th Fighter Squadron at Selfridge Air National Guard Base will take place.

Note that when heading to Comerica Park, only wallets sized 4” x 6” x 1.5” or smaller will be allowed in. Tickets are digital-only.
