Michigan native Ryan Anderson, who graduated from DeWitt High School just outside of Lansing, is going to the NFL.
It’s been a long time coming for Anderson. Following his graduation from DeWitt, Anderson started his college football career as a receiver at Division II Saginaw Valley. He ended up being a key punter at Rutgers. He also played at Division III Olivet College before playing for Rutgers.
Now, Anderson has officially signed a contract with the Chicago Bears. He ended his college career at Rutgers in 2017, and even though he’s flirted with the pros, this is his first official NFL gig. View his tweet about the exciting news below.
“Extremely fortunate to still be playing this game!” he said. “Beyond grateful to the Bears Organization for giving me the opportunity to continue living out my dream!”
