As if losing to the Minnesota Vikings in the last minute of Sunday’s (Sept. 25) Detroit Lions game wasn’t enough, now the Lions are without one of their best players.

Detroit Lions safety Tracy Walker will miss the remainder of the season following a torn Achilles tendon, which he got during the Viking game. The team caption shared the news via Twitter Monday (Sept. 26).

“It is true that I tore my Achilles and I’m done for the season but I’ll bounce back and be better then ever for the following years to come,” Walker wrote on Twitter.

“I appreciate all the support from my fans and friends. It is true that I tore my Achilles and I’m done for the season but I’ll bounce back and be better then ever for the following years to come. TTIME will be back‼️”

Walker had been one of the team’s best players on defense so far this season. The Lions are currently looking at in-house options to replace him.
