The Detroit Lions had a fantastic 2022 season, but that means they won’t be the first to pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. The team did miss out on the playoffs, even after an impressive 20-16 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday (Jan. 8). That game finished setting their draft picks in the first round for 2023.

Now, the numbers are out. The Detroit Lions will have two picks in the first round: the sixth pick, which comes from the Los Angeles Rams as part of the previous Matthew Stafford trade, and the 18th pick. Detroit finished the season 9-8 with the win over Green Bay, and the Rams finished the season 5-12.

Read on for the updated draft order for the first 18 picks. The rest of the picks will come from the playoffs. Even though the Lions aren’t getting the earliest picks, chances are most fans are happy that the team brought home a winning record in 2022. Fans would trade that for draft picks any day.
