Oscar 2022 Nominees: ‘The Power of the Dog’ leads the pack

The nominations for the 2022 Academy Awards are out, and Jane Campion’s “The Power of the Dog” racked up the highest tally of nominations for the 94th Academy Awards. A trend this year is that streaming services received more nominations than ever.

The nominations, out Tuesday (Feb. 8), “The Power of the Dog” scored 12 nods, including big awards such as best picture, best director and actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The film with the second most nominations was “Dune,” scoring 10.
